It can aid students in becoming more literate, develop technological skill important for the work place and college, and pull them away from the distractions of other forms of technology. Integration into the classroom is basically the latter: technology must counter act distracting technology in order to properly educate students. The next generation of students will be faced with the challenge of using technology properly to make them more intelligent or become overly dependent on it.

But the quality of that reading will decrease due to the amount of abbreviations and use of slang in social text messaging. Thus, it is important to utilize technology in the classroom to improve reading skills.

Teachers must accept the challenge of keeping a students attention and stimulating them the way teachers have not needed to stimulate students in the past. They must find a way to pull their students away from technology. Learners are also challenged in that there are more ways to be distracted by technology unlike ever before.
