21st Century Benefits of Using Technology
1. Creativity and Innovation- The ability to find multiple solutions to one problem. This basic level of problem solving will benefit students well into adulthood has they deal with bigger issues. When using technology, problems may occur, what students must do is find ways to fix these problems.
2. Communication and collaboration- the ability to convey one’s thoughts. Students must learn to work as a team in order to achieve some goals. Also students in those teams must learn to express their thoughts clearly in order to have done what they want done. This can be achieved through use of online forums and messaging in which students can critique and aid each other in their success.
3.Research and Information Literacy- the ability to find information. As more and more people are able to produce more and more information, and information is more accessible through the internet, students must learn which information is credible and which is not.
4. Critical thinking- abilities to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, interpret, and make connections. This will also help students with problem solving. The better a student is at analyzing information, the better they will be at deciphering credible information or non-credible information from the internet.
